Red Dragon Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 How long does it take for the DVLA to send your license back after you have passed mod2? Quote
dannybee Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I got mine back last week turnaround time was about a week but the examiner sent it off and I heard that was quicker? Quote
Fulltilt Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 I was told 20 days. Then if you don't get anything contact that DVLA Quote
Glorian Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Got mine about 1 1/2 weeks to 2 weeks. Had instructor send it off straight away. Quote
klingelton Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Mine was 1 week. I wouldnt do it if you need it in the next 6 weeks though - DVLA are notoriously shit when you need them to be quick! Quote
Red Dragon Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Well i passed my test on october 2nd. And phoned DVLA today and they still havnt processed it through. So i guess i will just wait another week. Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 did you send it off or did examiner if it was anyone other than you contact them to make sure they sent it off and on what date just in case its sitting on a desk forgotten about Quote
fullscreenaging Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 The examiners don't physically post them. They enter the details onto their PC and then shred the provisional licence. Quote
Red Dragon Posted October 15, 2014 Author Posted October 15, 2014 Yeh i sent it off myself straight after the test. They say give it 3 weeks. I guess im just anxious to get my hands on it after gearing myself up for the test the last year or so. Quote
Red Dragon Posted October 20, 2014 Author Posted October 20, 2014 Well this coming Friday wil be three weeks since i sent it off. I have been accepted for finance on a 600cc and pick the bike up next monday. They want to see my driving license before signing for the bike. So im hoping it will arrive by then.Just phoned the DVLA and was told they have received my documents and are waiting for them to be scanned onto their system. And the annoying thing is i live only down the road from the DVLA.Ah well, still waiting. Quote
RantMachine Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I was told three weeks, after six weeks I got pissed off and started pestering them. Took just over eight weeks by the time it arrived! I changed address part way through and told them I damn well wasn't paying for a second one Quote
fq-craigus Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Mine took just over a week and was back Quote

Red Dragon Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 Just phoned DVLA. And apparently they still waiting confirmation from the test centre, even though they received my test certificate 4 weeks ago. Quote
Red Dragon Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 What this about poo and fan??? John933 I bloody well hope not. This is my bike license we talking about. Quote
Red Dragon Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 Guess what came through my door today?finally. As you can see I have the full complete set of driving license categories. And although I understand that category A license is a full motorcycle license, it is a shame that they couldn't just fill in the date on the A1 and A2 license section on the back of that license. It looks almost complete now because of that.hahaAnyone else here have recently passed their MOD2?, Can you look on the back of your license to see if just the cat A has been filled in like mine and not the A1 & A2.CLICK ON IMAGE TO ENLARGE** Quote
runningman Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Yep....just Cat A. Cat A will trump A1 and A2. Quote
dannybee Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Yep passed recently and just A without the others, you're winning on the entitlement front too I have no intention of getting the bus ones lol Quote
