pointblank0 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Anyone have a rough idea how much it is to get a tyre valve replaced for a tubeless tyre? Quote
wr6133 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 loose wheel? place near me charges me 5 quid to remove an old tyre and put on a new one, he supplies the valve. So I'd expect around that figure. Quote
Zipster Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I had to get a front wheel looked at when I had a suspected puncture. Turned out I needed a new valve. All in cost £20 - wheel off, tyre off, new valve and all put back on again. Quote
fredc Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 It cost me £10 for a bolt in valve on a loose wheel a couple of years ago Quote
pointblank0 Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 Cheers. Not as bad as I was expecting. Job for Monday I think. Quote
pointblank0 Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 Well, wasted money in the end. After changing the valve and still losing pressure, I decided to resoke the tyre with soapy water and discovered the tiniest hole that I had missed last time I was looking. Plugged it with my cheap kit (which by the way has saved me a fortune over the last year and I would highly recommend buying one if you haven't got one already).Oil and filter change today, just need to sort out the coolant sensor now.
