Joeman Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Wd40 won't remove paint... Unless someone has painted your wheels with the wrong paint!!Are you sure its not brake fluid?? Brake fluid will strip paint. Quote
denz90wolf Posted March 2, 2015 Author Posted March 2, 2015 deffo not brake fuild its chain lube mainly and when i wipe it with a rag the wd40 does take it off slightly . Quote
Grumpy Old Git Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Detergent mixed with hot water and a stiff (ish) brush should do it.If the paint is flaking off, then this will be due to a poor application in the first place or, as stated, you have some kind of 'stripper' fluid on there. Quote
denz90wolf Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 my bike is a 14 model honda cbr 125 so luckily it isn't flaking yet lol Quote
Chrissb6 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Hi, It sounds to me like your applying way to much lube or using crap gear. I would suggest you give the chain a good clean and apply a good chain lube. This kit here should do you fine.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WURTH-BRAKE-A ... 4897.l4275All l do to clean my wheel's is to give them a quick wipe with a rag and WD40 Quote
