There in lies the problem, now its getting a little warmer I am getting hot headed.I am tempted by the Shark Vision RAny other suggestions I would like something to keep me cool now its getting warmer.. adekeys Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 my hjc is-17 is has great airflow all around. so much so i had to wear a balaclava this winterplus they are fairly cheap and have a 5star sharp rating Quote
Edd Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 I've got a Caberg Ego, it's got a massive vent that opens on the top (not sure how this would affect its performance in a crash?!) and can get a bit noisy! Nice and cool though. Not too expensive either. Quote
Throttled Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 AVG K3 SV. Tons of vents which are very effective and a sun visor. Quote

Nice and cool though. Not too expensive either. I have one of those best helmet I've ever owned, would buy again. Noise isn't noticeable to me anymore than any other helmet I've owned. Oh and it feels light too. Quote
onesea Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 Well I got impatient, Shark Vision-R GT Carbon.Got to say it has got brilliant vision to the sides. Lifesavers are suddenly so much easier and quicker...It makes my old helmet feel like your looking through a port hole. Quote
mr_vimto Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 AVG K3 SV. Tons of vents which are very effective and a sun visor. Purchased this helmet yesterday, Very nice helmet, very impressed. Also came with a anti fog thing which they fitted for me at the store which surprised me i dont have to keep lifting the visor up to breath at traffic lights btw its agv not avg Quote
igingeee Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 +1 On the K3 SV.. Before buying watched a review on revzilla that said if you're in the market for a K3 then the K3 SV is a complete overhaul and the much better choice, never looked back.I do find the pinlock somewhat distracting though because it's only the main part as opposed to the whole thing (think of it as wearing glasses and looking outside of the lens) can be distracting but you get used to it, in comparison to my first and previous helmet.. it's changed the way I ride and made it much safer, less time spend messing around lifting it up and down in the rain (just wipe it as you would any other). The vents are effective, I often leave the chin vent open by false of habit.. soon end up with a cold face while going along at speed on a winters day, really must leave them closed, can only imagine the world of good when the sun comes around. As said comes with a sunvisor (that I actually got to use on a early morning commute), didn't think it made the difference originally but then I lifted it up and put it straight back down, not to dark must be added.. also the mechanism is easier to put it down than it is to lift (very stiff). Also the hi-viz version soon gets peoples attention when out and about. fq-craigus Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Agv k3 is a top lid had one last year but went down in it so onto another. Now have the hjc is-17 got a cracking deal. Looks great, reflective lettering, internal visor, pinlock, and comfy. Very cool as said above, slightly noisier than the agv but mich better aerodynamics no buffering Quote
dave_d Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Hello, new to the forum but thought I would chip in. Have to give another vote for the Ego. Got mine last summer... great with the vent open on a hot summers day. Like your own sunroof! Quote
