Might look at that to, but the engine never did this before i changed the spark plugs? So surely something i've done wrong there.

you may have pulled the wires on the plug caps as you removed them

its easily done and there isn't much contact there so a little bit of a pull can be enough to stop the power getting in

also double check that plug gap as 7-8 seems more common is so you may have too small a gap on the others :)

Right.. Got 4 new plugs on the way for £15.. gonna adjust the gap to 7 (whatever the measurement is) with my new feeler guage. and i'm going to trim the HT lead. if that doesn't work i'll leave it in a dodgy area with a poor lock

I have decided to draw a cock on my forehead for the mistake i made..

I MAY... MAAAAAAAAY... JUST MAY HAVE POSSIBLY...

Put the plug cap on the wrong plug causing it to not fire properly..

I stuck it in the wrong hole and got in trouble to sum it up!

Story of my life.

I once made the mistake when changing plugs to use a 'high grade - tungsten tip' set. The bike would not start! I tried everything before asking the expert at the Suzuki garage who said 'try putting the correct plug type in' - I did and it fired up first time!

New (now used) set was sold on fleabay for just under half what I paid.

Lesson learnt.

I got a whole new set of plugs from banditmania on order because it's still firing weird around 5-6k revs when moving.

We should have a pact; if this doesn't sort your bike out, and if my bike doesn't pass an MOT once the new chain is on, I'll set your bike on fire if you set fire to mine
