motomarino Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Ebay recently announced that it was banning sales of confederate flags and anything associated with them due to the recent shooting in the US where dylan roof a white supremacist it would appear, massacred a church full of African Americans. A picture emerged in the press if roof holding a confederate flag which prompted he ban, followed by other merchants such as Amazon and others. But isn't it ironic, that after all the bombings over the past few years, thousands of deaths and injuries and the prevalence of people being used as human bombs in all countries by terrorist groups - you can still buy all the equipment to build one on these sites.....Doesn't seem to make sense - ban an antique flag for what it stood for, yet sell the tools for extremists to continue terrorising the innocent. T180985 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 i think the problem is a lot of the tools required also have fairly innocent uses, its a tough one to deal with Quote
fq-craigus Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 So have the banned sales of all 3 confederate flags? Daft if you ask me, they will just buy them elsewhere. Its like banning sales of st George cross, because we have a gb flag and the edl use it for their own purposes. Although inpractical now but surely a gun amnesty/ ban would be better Quote

Lock someone with a bit of knowledge in any garden centre and they could easily construct a bomb. You can't ban the sales of things just because they might be used to make bombs. Mobile phones are a great remote detonator. Shall we ban them?? Quote
