KTM21 Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I saw a video on youtube about restoring colour to plastic parts that have faded due to sun exposure and thought I'd give it a go. One piece on my bike was really badly faded. I used a stanley knife blade to scrape away the faded top layer of plastic and you get to the coloured plastic underneath. It was quite easy actually.I just tried a little bit to see if it would make a difference Realised it was working so I decided to do the whole thing There was a couple of spots I couldn't get to with the blade so I had to finish it with some t-cut The t-cut got rid of a lot of marks as well and made it much better It's still not perfect but it's much better than it was. Grumpy Old Git Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 T-Cut followed by a decent plastic polish works best. Quote
Mr Fro Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I used Autoglym glass cutter on the screen of the Goldwing which was ridiculously badly hazed and oxidised. Cleaned up a treat. Quote
