This is going to sound odd, but what do you guys look for when your buying kelvar jeans, more so ladies jeans. (I spent 30mins looking for some without huge flares on the bottom haha)

I've bought some today, which was a hard task in itself due to me being 'an odd shape'. Annoyingly a size up from normal everyday jeans but i felt they were more comfortable and the hip/knee protection sat better and due to injury in my right leg, give me the extra comfort room if it decides to swell up when i'm out...But at the same time they are slightly baggy on me.

Are there any areas you guys look for when selecting a pair?

Is there a proper way for them to fit?

Sorry for the really noobish question :)

I just look for the knee pads to sit in the right position. Draggin jeans do a good range if you are looking for skinny fit ones but they ain't cheap. I have the Holeshot Draggin jeans and they do fit well.

First thing to get used to when shopping for bike gear?

Women's sizes are even worse than normal! Especially if you have some curves.

I have a pair of "Bulletproof" kevlar jeans. They are marked as three sizes bigger than my everyday jeans, but fit well. The knee armour fits over my knees perfectly, the hip armour is not too bulky and they do not feel uncomfortable when sitting on the bike.

I've found most bike trousers are designed either to wear over your boots (wider at the ankle and calf) or inside your boots (skinny at the ankle). There is no real in between. You need to decide which way you will wear them.

Hood jeans are great. Nice company to deal with too. I'm about to buy another pair myself.
