GazW Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Not sure who was asking, but re my earlier thread about clouding plastics and someone's recommendation of heat to remove it. See for yourselves I'll not put before and afterhttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/17/3f347319cd531979f2997bf21e78c5f5.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/09/17/9385a5d658768571f7df59595ca7e717.jpg Quote
Mr Fro Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Yeah, that was me. Looks really good! Was that just with a hairdryer? Quote
GazW Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 I started off with the Mrs hairdryer, which was working but slowly. Then I got my heat gun out which worked better but I felt was heating the tank too much. Then I got my blowtorch out and literally just flicked it across the tank a few times and that was the best of the lot. Didn't cause that much heat build up on the surface of the tank as it wasn't in direct contact with it for more than half a second, and I had it turned down really really low. Quote
Six30 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I had the same problem..... Tried it with a blow torch.. Went a bit wrong . Quote
CGD217 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I saw Roadcraft Nottingham doing this on YouTube to his Pan European recently, it seemed to work wonders. I'm thinking of giving my hugger a go with the missus hair dryer. Quote
