Hey folks! *waves*

As I'm sure some of you are aware, I'm getting my first bike which *drum roll* is a cruiser. I've been in love with them.. since FOREVER. Most of my family had ridden them [albeit we don't talk, another topic] so I've been stuck on my own looking around the web on suggestions on how to handle a cruiser around corners. My bike DOES have footboards and I've been reading that they'll end up ending replacing prreeetttyyy often. Another place mentions... counter steering [??? wtf] and leaning [i know that! <3]

Wind resistance at speeds.... crappy turning angle due to wide wheel base...needless to say.. I fried my brain trying to understand it all... so.. any help would be welcome! [vids welcome too <3 ]

Do not mention counter steering.

I repeat never ever mention counter steering. ...lol

Top tip: Don't pay too much attention to YouTube vids - the majority made by the public are often not the best advice. You'd be better off getting out and riding - it's only a diddy bike so shouldn't be difficult to handle.

Cornering lines/vision through corners should be much higher in your brain than countersteering and have a much bigger impact on your riding.

I found that all the roundabouts surrounding my old house made me get very good at cornering my 125 cruiser  Did have to get the pegs welded back on a couple of times.

You can make your boards last longer by drilling holes in the plastic thingies underneath them and screwing some bolts in. Plus you look like a boss when they touch down and send out a shower of sparks.
