strange acted indicators

Today i fitted a new dashboard on my ybr 125 due to the old one being smashed when i had an accident.

When i first got it home after the accident (only dash was actually damaged and i was only round the corner from my house) i noticed that my front indicator on the left was not working at all, and the back left was just a constant light and the same with the light on my dash that says indicating left.

Strangely enough when i hit my dash back into place (it was wonky) the indicators worked normally again.

Now the problem is back and as i said before i have just replaced the dash. The bulb is not blown and the right side is working perfect.

Anyone know a common way to fix this? one thing is that my battery is now almost dead atm to the point where i had to hill start it.

any help would greatly be appreciated

Urm... I'd check the wires are not frayed or anything? also, if you have a flasher relay, check that is plugged in right ( mine is under the clocks, behind the headlight. )
