I have always gone for the dark visor route they are so much better than dark inserts


also check out ebay for a pinlock I need one for mine and you can get them for about £10 posted

My lid has a flip down sun visor. Best invention ever. :mrgreen:

 

You mean yours dosn't fog up 3 seconds after you have put it down? Mine is a nightmare :-/

Well.. You say that.. But mine does too and yet I still bought a gold mirrored one [emoji39]

Had the same problem.. Never used it for any lengthy period of time so wouldn't know if it clears up.. Bought a new visor instead.. Just a bit gutted I can't install a pinlock onto my new gold visor.

it all depends how much light they let through


I would say the ones you are looking at will be a no

I was just curious, wouldn't use anything other that a clear Visor as I ride home from work in the dark.

I really only ever use it with the main visor up... so no :mrgreen:

Can gold visors be used at night?

Legally? No

Technically? Yes

Sensibly? No


I got caught out at 8pm one night.. Got pretty hairy and ended up rising most of the way home at 40mph with my visor up praying I wasn't gonna get a bug in my eye and drop my bike.

The uv reactive pinlocks are rubbish the visor itself filters out so much uv that even when it's stupidly bright the pinlock will only have a very mild tint which is of no use. I wouldn't be without the standard ones though.
