There is no such thing as a car or bike tyre machine

You just need some rim protectors as the clamps are metal :D

Here is my top tip Fro

buy one of these tyre changers and a bar for alloy wheels!!

mine turned up today and the hardest part was bolting it down :shock:

I wish I had bought one of these years ago!

baring in mind I only got it today so first use it took me less than 20 mins to change the front and that was just plodding on not rushing at all

there was next to no effort although it is a bit tricky holding the tyre in the centre of the rim and one side pulling the bar and making sure the tyre is going on! you need 3 arms :lol:

I got the tyre changer from here http://www.buycarspares.co.uk/tc965-motorcycle-mini-tyre-changer" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

cheapest I could find it and free delivery

And this is the bar I got

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172236566054" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

make sure you are in when they get delivered as they aren't light!!

Looks like it needs a bit of space - might have to wait until the garage gets extended.

What are you doing about balancing?

Posted

you don't need a great deal of space but it needs to be away from the walls

I have bolted it down but can removed them if need be to move it out the way! although I have a fair bit of space 8-)

I have a static balancer too this was about £30
