2004 Honda CBR125R rev issue

This is my sisters bike and I haven't had a chance to experience this myself yet but I plan to visit at a weekend to see if we can sort it.

She says that at times she stops the bike, the revs jump up massively high on idle. Taking clutch to bite point returns revs to normal. Seems to be intermittent however.

Am I correct in thinking this is a FI bike and the most likely culprit is the idle screw needs a tweak down? She had an issue in the past where the revs cut when stopping and she says her ex adjusted something to solve it and this to me is the most likely thing.

Just want to consider other possibilities in case it isn't an idle adjustment.

Injection shouldn't need adjusting, the tps takes care of that.

sounds like it wants winding back like you say and the initial problem sorting out. Possible tps issue but without testing its impossible to say

More checks and the bike is a carbed it seems.

Carb strip down seeming like a good idea now.
