Was intending to buy one to see what they are like. Ive bought a few Gps trackers and most have been good. If these can relay vehicle data in real-time, that would be cool.

OBD2 port doesn't switch off with ignition so just be careful you don't drain your battery!

Yeah....says 22mA current draw on 12v......but the bike is on an optimate in the garage when it's not being used, Joe. I think it just gets its power from the OBD2 port.....so, no real time data from the ECU.......although there is an OBD2 bluetooth transmitter available for that......

Ive got the Bluetooth OBD2 and that does flatten the battery :(

But it sends data to my phone as I ride so I can log geeky stuff.

The tracker in have is the TLT2 (waterproof version). No complains.

£21......plus SIM......I think I'll pull the trigger on one and see how it goes......

Which network? I have a GiffGaff sim in mine. They don't consume much data so you don't need a huge data package. Mines payg and tops up when empty.

Dunno about the network Joe......I'll see who has the best deals..... My mobile is with EE....so I'll see if they'll do me a deal on a PAYG sim.

Get mine from eBay. They generally come from China.

...i would worry about a tracker that's governed by ignition on feed to be truthful.

The current tracker im using is wired to the battery and to the ignition. It's got power all the time but goes into standby mode. If the bike moves without the ignition coming on first it assumes the bike has been stolen and starts sending SOS messages.

So having bother a permanent power supply and ignition switched supply is very useful.
