Biker16 Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 (edited) ( UPDATE: THE BIKE WAS FIXED AND SOLD ON, I PASSED CBT & HAVE HAD VARIOUS BIKES SINCE :thumb: )Hi All,Going to be doing CBT & recently purchased a SuperByke RSR 125 (aka Sinnis Stealth), its a recent model in excellent condition & has very low mileage as has mainly been sat in storage. As of today I have just found out through MOT that it needs 1. Front Fork Seals doing, 2. Clutch & Brake levers replacing (clutch lever bent not sure why brake lever needs replacing) 3. Head & Tail Lights tightening a bit more. Now, the issue at the minute is I would like to purchase the required parts myself then have the garage fit them for me & redo the MOT with the idea of not being over charged on parts etc. however the garage & I are having difficulty finding compatible parts ): Keep in mind this is all today & the garage has said they will speak to the bike manufacturer direct then get back to me tomorrow. However, I cant help but think there must be some nice custom levers that would fit it on eBay maybe universal or other. Also I have located fork seals by Lexmoto & other brands on eBay which claim to also fit my bike & cost under £10 inc. delivery! So yes I think it would also probably workout better on price too no doubt. Any & all advice/relevant information would be greatly appreciated, specifically will the seals mentioned do the job & also regarding levers. Also some job/parts prices from personal experience would be very useful too.Cheers all! Edited November 16, 2016 by Biker16 Quote

Grumpy Old Git Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 You could do just about everything (except replacing the fork seals) yourself with minimum skill level and minimum tools.Good luck with it - It is a good start to learning about fixing and maintaining your motorbike. Quote

Hi GOG, thanks for saying hello.
