Firebladewickers Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Is it worth getting a alarm fitted if so which one? I have a ground anchor and oxford hardcore chain and padlock... plus I have a oxford alarmed disc lock thatcham aproved Quote
Six30 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 No , don't bother with an alarm on your bike, going off for no reason drain your battery waist of time... spend your money on getting your garage alarmed . Quote
rob m Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Don't bother with any alarms. When was the last time you went running when you heard a car/bike/burglar alarm? Exactly. Ground anchor and good chains are the way to go. Thieves aren't bothered by alarms, it's a quick snip with a nail clipper to disable them. A chain and ground anchor means using an angle grinder and that means making a lot of noise...and attracting unwanted attention. Even better use 2 chains. I despair at the amount of reports of bikes that get stolen because they weren't chained to something. Quote
Firebladewickers Posted October 31, 2016 Author Posted October 31, 2016 I'm leaning towards a second ground anchor and another chain Quote
