Shock question

Hi folks, we have a ninja 250r 2008, we need a new rear shock, is there a shorter one that would fit? The one I took off is 12.5" but want one about 11". Any ideas?

Yes we need to lower, but the shock has had it, so I thought rather than buying dog bones and a shock, just buy a shorter shock.

It's not that simple. A shorter shock would also require a stiffer spring and would change the characteristics of the bike. New Dog bones are the best option.

Hi , not a good idea putting in a shorter shock , the dynamics of the bike change, the front forks would have to be dropped (they would anyway if you put in dogbones) the chain would have to be altered, the better option is to have the same shock , but shave off the seat.
