Saying that, I admire the sentiment of your post. He's showing that his disability does not mean an inability to take part in the sport he loves. Quote

Speaking as someone who has been disabled for a number of years, it may be frowned upon in your field but as a generic term (and it is also referred to in the article) the majority of people I know who are disabled have no issue with the term what so ever.We are handicapped end of. It does not stop us doing things or getting on with our lives. What really pisses people off is the polictical carrectness all the time and being told that such and such is frowned upon.Talan himself refers to being handicappedTo say that the term handicapped is frowned upon I find offensive.Anyway, I did not post the thread to start an argument.
