Chrissb6 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Hi, has anyone on here got any idea just how much duty l will have to pay on motorbike goods from Australia valued at approx £1500 Quote
Gerontious Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 depends.. your best bet is to call the helpline. 0300 200 3700if the goods are new... then it wont just be duty. it will be VAT as well. and that VAT will be based on the entire amount.. including post, insurance AND duty.give the helpline a ring... get a proper answer. Plastics seem to be around 6.5%.. aluminium seems to be standard VAT and weirdly steel seems to be 0 https://www.gov.uk/trade-tariffFinding the correct tariff is a bitch but you could email them.. I had to call them once and there were fairly helpful not sure how long it would take to get back to you though edit: oh Gerontious helpfully found you a number, yeah call them Quote
