Bazza Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Hi everyone I have a lexmoto gladiator 125 on a 13 plate I have put a new battery on it and it's holding the charge but it cuts out on me from time to time when I'm at lights or slowing down to stop and sometimes it won't always start up again straight away could it be an electrical fault or fuel problem all help would be appreciated many thanks Quote
Tango Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Hi mate......do you have a bit more information on how the bike dies?..... do all the electrics go off, or the lights go really dim.....or does it cut out without the electrics going off? Quote
Bazza Posted January 21, 2018 Author Posted January 21, 2018 It cuts out but the lights stay on they don't go dim from what I've seen Quote
rennie Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Could it be as simple as tick over set too low? Quote
Bazza Posted January 21, 2018 Author Posted January 21, 2018 It can also take a few minutes to get it started again Quote
Bazza Posted January 21, 2018 Author Posted January 21, 2018 It could be Ian I just have to find out where I can adjust the tick over not to sure where it is at moment but I will certainly take a look thanks Quote
fastbob Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Maybe a sticking float valve , can you smell petrol when this happens ? Could explain why this happens when you stop but it's ok once you get going again. Quote
mikestrivens Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Fuel contaminated could be the cause. Quote
Guest Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Fuel contaminated could be the cause. On the contrary, here's an entertaining scenario about contamination and fuel."> Quote
