Guest Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Put my CB500 into the garage to have the fork seals done, got the bike back and on the ride home i've noticed the steering is very stiff when I turn the handlebars to the right, but it feels fine turning them to the left.. Any ideas? Also, the seal that was leaking before is leaking again.. Quote
mikestrivens Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Hello and welcome. Take it straight back and complain. They should do these things right for the amount of money we pay. Quote
fastbob Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 A CB 500 has a centre stand right ? Well just get someone to push down on the back end while you slip a box or something under the engine. You'll soon figure out what's doing it when you move the bars from side to side . I suspect that it's an incorrectly routed cable or brake line , its easy to forget where everything went when the forks are out . Post some pics if your still not sure . I wouldn't ride it until you have free movement in each direction . Quote

Bender Posted April 15, 2018 Posted April 15, 2018 Collection is a good idea, just tell them you don't think it's safe to ride but if they are willing to take the blame for your imminent accident you will try your best, ask for the number of their insurers so you won't have to waste any time while laying in the gutter Quote
