ybr model?

Hey everyone, i bought my better half a yamaha ybr 125 (2007) but im slightly confused and hopefully you lot can help me out a bit.

Im pretty sure i need a new stator for it, but the issue is this, its a 2007 bike but is the carb model, not injection. but every time i look for stators its always pre 2007 carbs or 2007+ fuel injection. Anyone know where i can find a stator for the bike? would a pre 2007 stator be the same as what i need? dont want to fork out the money just to find i have the wrong part.

I assume you mean "starter". Have you tried ebay or a dealer?

Part numbers are different for 2006 and 2007 models

It's the fixed or stationary part of the alternator. Which generates the electricity and charges the battery.

A stator is the fixed part of an alternator ( generator ) as opposed to a rotor which is the moving part .
