Addison616 Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 I was riding down a duel carriageway on my Yamaha yzf r125 last week after a Christmas concert I had just preformed at, and on my way I manage to slip and lock up my front wheel (I have ABS) anyways I came off at around 30mph and desrroid my left side boomerang fairing and my nose cone aswell. I've got the black and gold model and can't seem to find the right colour parts, any help? Quote
mikestrivens Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Hello, hope you are ok. Some photos would help. Quote
fastbob Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 We'll I found over 30 of them on eBay including some pairs at very reasonable prices . So just change the colour with some rattle cans and stick the graphics back on ( £ 4.00 ) and away you go . No point in spending a fortune if you're still prone to dropping it . Quote

mikestrivens Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 A salutary warning to stay away from road paint and metal drains etc when it is wet. They are like ice. Quote
learningtofly Posted December 29, 2018 Posted December 29, 2018 A salutary warning to stay away from road paint and metal drains etc when it is wet. They are like ice. Agreed, especially on budget tyres. I slid all over the place on my Street Twin, at far less than 50mph! Quote
Magpie84 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 I hope you can find what you're looking for and that you're ok, hopefully your thumb will heal quickly without too much pain. Quote

When I first started riding I stopped at a roundabout and front well slipped on the road markings, no damage to me or my bike, just a bit embarrassed, lucky was basically stopped, just picked bike up and rode off Quote

Addison616 Posted January 6, 2019 Author Posted January 6, 2019 Managed to get all the parts I need, just need to buy a nose cone and windshield the rest I'm in the process of fixing with my dad, some body filla and paint seem to do the job, I'll try and post a picture when I'm done. Thanks all for the advice. ( P.S. getting some movement in my thumb now and should be fine by the end of this month) Quote
