  1. Not brakes - that's abs. Tc kills power to the rear tyre when it senses a slip using the wheel speed sensor vs the front. Happens loads on track very successfully.
  2. Like I say my only ever crash in what 25k miles total including track, I was very very careful (I'd had 5 or so tyres fitted by this point, I know they're dangerous). Google agrees that they're slippery, just be careful! Doesn't hurt to ride not like a maniac for a few miles.
  3. No, they definitely are slippery af. My bike has tc that kicks in very quickly but it didn't save me that day.
  4. Yes. The only time I've crashed is when I had a new tyre fitted in winter and I very gingerly eased the throttle on and turned out of my mechanic's road. Next thing I was on the ground. New tyre day is no longer a fun one for me, bad memories!
  5. Mt10 forum is pretty good, was useful when I had mine. Gixxer riders are notoriously chavvy though so I wouldn't bother with one. The reddit r/gsxr is meh, kinda quiet.
  6. A fair sentiment but they actually mostly lose money at the moment, if it helps alleviate some aggreviances you may feel towards them.
  7. I saw dune 2. Was epic. I'm quite fussy about films. I also went raving which was fun.
  8. A 'friend' of mine once called to notify insurance of a minor car fender Bender (lol it capitalised it) which was the settled in cash, no claim on the end. They called a few times weeks later and I said 'I have no idea what you're talking about'. Clean file still!
  9. No centre stand here, just sit on it and fill it up, always use pay at pump so I don't have to remove a single garment.
  10. Moved it to my girlfriend's communal cycle store in her apartment block. Let's hope no one complainans! Or steals it.
  11. Welcome back geeza!
  12. Happy birthday chap!
  13. My mortgage has gone up £1000pcm so I'm moving in with my girlfriend's flat in Kent this weekend. And saying goodbye to a garage Ah well, could be worse, I'm renting mine out.
  14. Bikes are less dangerous to other people than cars. You get pass at 17 and get into an ev suv that weighs 3000kg and does 0-60 in 3 seconds which is something government building facilities managers are genuinely scared of. A bike won't hurt anyone anywhere near as much. Sure, maybe more accidents in general (source needed), but they take themselves out of the pool.
  15. Same as as car - 1 full licence when you're 17 to ride anything. Why not.
  16. Tl;Dr use price comparison website every time.
  17. He means don't let it stop you trying your cbt again, not don't let it stop you riding a motorbike sans licence, at this stage, which is of course illegal
  18. It's very easy. Take less than 1 second to attach your bike key to a carribener.
  19. Mini carribener, detach when riding, lock keys etc in pocket
  20. I hope it's tasty! I made it myself
  21. Hope not - it's mostly dudes coming over!
  22. Happy birthday Rob! My birthday twin
