Jackholland78 Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 I have my cbt booked and have a 125 bike ready, will I be able to ride this with L plates as soon as I pass my CBT? There will be no need to take a theory test to ride the bike with L plates will there? I am 23 years old with a full uk driving license Thanks in advance Quote
learningtofly Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 Yes, you'll be fine to ride with L plates off the back of your CBT alone. Quote

mikestrivens Posted March 3, 2019 Posted March 3, 2019 Hello and welcomeAs above and when you are 24 perhaps think about doing the DAS before the CBT certificate expires Quote
workpeter Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 The law is planning to change so you have to do theory before CBT. Really good idea in my opinionhttps://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/news/2017/december/motorcycle_training_changes_consultation Quote

SometimesSansEngine Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 I can only assume though that it will get stuck in consultation hell whilst the government are focused on other matters though.Would also like some incentive for 16/17 year olds to actually take their A1 too. I can't see why they would bother as it stands, which is a shame as it means they won't get extra training Quote
