Hello all,

I have got my CBT booked for next week 😁. All excited to at last archive what I have wanted for a long time.

I would like to own a cruiser style bike, don't really want to buy anything expensive for my first bike. Should I go for new or second hand motorbike?

I been looking at sinnis-hoodlum and keeway k-light 125cc. Does anyone have any advice for me.

Thanks in advance.

If you are buying Chinese I would buy new. You need to telly keep on top of maintainance with them. I'm not saying they are bad but they are built to a budget. I would favour a sinnis or lexmoto rather than a keeway. 2nd hand Chinese you are relying on someone being on top of maintainance too and sometimes the are just bought and thrown with very little else done in the middle

I don't think the warranty is worth it for Chinese bikes tho as they are have really short service intervals and you can easily do an oil change and brake pad change etc with some online guidance.

I looked at buying a new Lexmoto Adrenaline when I was coming back to bikes, I ended up buying a used Yamaha WR125X and thank god I did! 2 months down the line I was bored of a 125 (and the style of bike) and wanted to move on to bigger things. I sold the WR for more than what I paid for it, something worth keeping in mind.

Thanks for your advice.

I was looking into the lexmoto michigan 125cc if you think that's a good first bike I will look into it a bit more. Being my first bike im thinking if I should risk it and go for second hand bike as I maybe more likely to drop it and get a dent 😔

I have checked with couple of dealers and they have it for £1850 or £1880 Inc OTR. Would it be ok I will booked it over the phone and got it delivered without seeing it or is it a good thing to view it prior?

Thanks

Don't touch the Keeway if you intend to ride in the winter . Total rust bucket plastered in bits that don't really do anything .
