125cc Starts low then revs up to about 2.5-3k rpms - After battery change

Hi everyone!

First post on here.

I have recently changed the battery in my Lexmoto Adrenaline 125 (Yeah I know its Chinese and It's a bad choice).

The problem I'm having is when I start the bike, it slowly builds revs up until about 2.5-3k rpms then settles and idles there.

I haven't rid it after the battery change nor have I had the engine on for more than about 1 minute. Could this just be a sort of

calibration?

In case anyone else has any thoughts on this I've checked and the bike has EFI so the link between the battery and the fuelling might be possible . I'll stick to carburettors thank you very much .

Some EFI systems need several minutes to calibrate and often there are certain procedures to follow. No idea what they might be for yours I'm afraid. Might be worth trying a specific forum and searching for EFI calibration.
