Breadsnapper Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Think they're only 9 bhp so if you're a big lad they will struggle. Took the egr off the Lexmoto I had and it made a world of difference.Dave. Quote
biglesbo Posted August 30, 2019 Author Posted August 30, 2019 Max KMH 105 kphMax Power (13.7 hp) 10.2bhp (7.6kW) @ 8500rpm--------------------didnt expect 65 mph However seems strange its as fast going up a 1 mile reasonably steep hill as it is on the flat Quote
fastbob Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 Someone might have put a bigger rear sprocket on it . Or , and I hate to say this , it might be clapped out . It's a 125 so I doubt anyone would have restricted it . Quote
fastbob Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 I once had 75 ( indicated ) out of a 1976 CG 125 on level ground with my weight at around 17 stone . I think the very early ones had a bigger carb . If memory serves, the engine was a hybrid that I knocked up from a Brazilian bottom end and a Japanese top end with a fresh rebore . It crackled and popped a bit at slower speeds but was surprisingly quick when I opened it up . So to return to the OP , I think 40 mph is a bit weak by any standards . Quote
James in Brum Posted September 1, 2019 Posted September 1, 2019 I had 74 indicated out of my Lexmoto Falcon a few times but it was into the red and good conditions. Quote
