Jako999 Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 I want a longer jacket that I may use all year round. Nothing to expensive or to heavy. The three in the running at the moment are Frank Thomas Jupiter £189, Oxford Mondial £249 and Oxford Montreal 3.0 £149Has any one got one of these or know of someone who has? I really like the Jupiter as it fits well but is Frank Thomas any good?Is there anything else I should be looking at? My brother has lent me his Halvarssons at around £400 but the sleeves are to long and it weighs more then me.Thanks in advance. Quote
dynax Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Some of the Frank Thomas stuff is pretty good for a budget brand Quote
Arwen Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I prefer RST over Frank Thomas and Oxford. I've had Frank Thomas trousers and they didn't last. I do really rate Halvarsson gear. They do a massive range of gear, and many sizes so I wouldn't discount the brand on one jacket. I've had the ladies version of this one for about 3 years now. It's light but fully waterproof. You would need a fleece on during the winter though, as it's not the warmest of jackets. Furygan are another make I would concider. Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 I have a Frank Thomas jacket. I bought solely on comfort factor and am very happy with it. It's used daily and shows no sign of any problems. Quote
