winston smith Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 More info needed for the brainy people here to diagnose your issue.Eg, does it start/run at all? Is there a spark? Did you replace the coil/ ht leads? Etc Quote
Colin2385 Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 Hi I didn't rebuild the engine i only rewired the bike the guy who owned it before me rebuilt it. There is spark the bike runs there's just no revs I believe it's the carb but not sure what it is Quote
ThePhatomfart Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Sounds like your carb is running rich, could be choke fault ,pilot screw , float height, think you will need to whip the carb off ,clean and reset, your bike is based on the Honda CG125, the bike will start but as soon as you apply throttle it will flood, is that right? ThePhatomfart Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 A carb clean should do it, do you have any numbers on the side of the Carb? This may helphttps://www.bike-parts-kymco.uk/catalog/Workshop-manual/zing-125-qe-Workshop-manual/page38 Quote

Colin2385 Posted October 16, 2019 Author Posted October 16, 2019 The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner I did the wiring myself iv now had the carb off but hasn't really helped gave it a good clean looks like I'll need to replace the carb. Any idea what carb I can use other than a kymco as there hard to come by Quote
Mr Fro Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Rule 1: Never trust what a previous owner says. Unless you did it, it didn't happen! If you're handy then you can make pretty much anything fit. If you measure the engine side of the carb then you should be able to match it to something. Quote
Colin2385 Posted October 18, 2019 Author Posted October 18, 2019 Anyone know what carb I can use on this bike please Quote
RantMachine Posted October 19, 2019 Posted October 19, 2019 David Silver are the go-to for Kymco parts, they can probably help you work out which carb you have/need! I know BikerMoo used them for spare parts for her Zing a bunch of times. And Petrolhead used them too when he butchered the bike after buying it from her Quote
Colin2385 Posted October 19, 2019 Author Posted October 19, 2019 Iv contacted my local David silver but was told they no longer do kymco parts really am stuck as I have no idea what I'm doing lol Quote
