gogs01 Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 I've had bikes since 1966. British, Japanese and German mostly. The last four have been BMW R1200RT. I love these bikes - they really are the best two-up tourers on the market. However, they are big, heavy bikes and I'm finding it harder to push or paddle it around as I get older. I have now taken the plunge and ordered a new BMW F900XR TE. I had a 130 mile test ride and really enjoyed it. It's not a RT, but I usually ride solo now so the accommodation and luggage is big enough, and the bike is quick enough for what I need these days. The plus is that it is smaller, lighter and generally more manageable than the RT.I'm really looking forward to swapping bikes, getting the new bike run in and planning European trips for next year. Bender Posted July 17, 2020 Posted July 17, 2020 Sounds great and if it's keeping the smile going while your riding that always helps Has a good review on mcnhttps://www-motorcyclenews-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.motorcyclenews.com/amp/bike-reviews/bmw/f900xr/2020/?amp_js_v=a3&_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQFKAGwASA%3D#aoh=15950200254239&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.motorcyclenews.com%2Fbike-reviews%2Fbmw%2Ff900xr%2F2020%2F Quote
