fastbob Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Sounds like you've never heard of Train Splitter or similar websites. You can get one way journeys for a fraction of the asking price and I don't mean a bit of discount either . I think I got about 70% off when I went to collect my bike from Portsmouth . You might have to change train more frequently but if one train is late they will honour the rest of the journey . Quote
Guest Swagman Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 I’m lucky there as I don’t have to pay me and the wife get 20 free tickets a year. Quote
husoi Posted August 21, 2020 Author Posted August 21, 2020 You would need to know me better fastbob to know that trains and me don't get along well The flight was a joy, 1:30 he after taking off was at city airport, 10min taxi and was in the hotel 10min walk away from the bike. Trains are not only more expensive but also takes forever even if you're lucky in not wasting time waiting. For the next one. Adding taxi to airport, flight and 2nd taxi I spent less than 2 train tickets, happy bunny and took me a lot less. Now having lunch in Doncaster Quote
husoi Posted August 21, 2020 Author Posted August 21, 2020 Well.Wetherby services. After rain in and around Selby then waze went mental and decided that would be great to explore the city and surrounding areas. Spent over half an hour to get back to the proper road.No issues with the bike Only issue is a wet bum Quote

husoi Posted August 21, 2020 Author Posted August 21, 2020 Hello again everyone Berwick, what I think will be the last stop before home. Yyeeyy 150ish miles to the tank just before the light comes up. Speed mostly over 60, trying to keep between 65 and 70.Don't trust the tyres to go anything over that but an idiot made me go to 85. No sweat for the bike. I think she really liked it Will make. Last post as soon I get home. Quote
