One of the high-profile names entering the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship in 2021 is Tito Rabat with the 2014 Moto2™ World Champion preparing to make his WorldSBK debut with the Barni Racing Team. In an interview conducted at the two-day test at Jerez, Rabat talks about his new opportunity and how he can achieve his goals in the 2021 season.

After five years competing in MotoGP™, Rabat is making the switch to WorldSBK for the 2021 season as he links up with the Barni Racing Team. Discussing his move, Rabat said: “I’m happy and motivated and looking forward to what will happen. I think it’s a new opportunity to stay at the front, feel the adrenaline, feel that you can do big things.

For the 2021 season, Barni Racing will use a bike that is 99% the same as the factory[1] Ducati Panigale V4 R, a challenge which Rabat is relishing: “They tell me that if I show I can win races, stay at the front, for sure I will have everything, all the material for staying at the front.”

Rabat also discussed his goals for the season and, while he stayed coy, he outlined the process for reaching them: “I want to go step by step. The biggest step comes with small things and I’m looking to make all the steps before the first race.
