Guest Posted June 29, 2008 Share Posted June 29, 2008 When is the noise occurring, when you accelerate or is the noise there from the minute you first try and put it into 2nd??Does it go away after a while or is the noise there all the time??What bike do you have just out of interest?With the little details I can only go back your 2nd " could " be lost some teeth. Fozzie Posted June 29, 2008 Share Posted June 29, 2008 Could be possible. Then again it could be a loss of teeth. Take it apart and look at the gearbox and check each cog. Its a simple engine so it wont take long. 2-strokes always make a buzzing noise that sounds weird untill you give it higher revs though it doesnt explain why its developed the way it has.OH, Sudden brain blast. How many miles has it done???My old RS made a bad noise that got worse and worse then one day *BANG* bye bye engine. if the mileage is high, keep off the bike, get a rebuild kit immediately.
