SuperMe79
What sort of disc lock should I get? There are expensive ones like thishttp://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/68/28621and cheaper ones like thishttp://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/68/28632I reckon if someone is determined to steal my bike they will. But one of these might stop an opportunist thief? Oh .. I keep it ground anchored in a garage normally but feel one of these might be added protection when I'm away from home. Guest
The Motrax Vishas is cheaper and is also Thatcham approved. It's listed on eBike's policy too.

Guest
When you insure your first bike you want to reduce the premium as much as possible. Unfortunately, every security device you list in order to do so MUST be in place at the time of theft or they won't pay out

On my insurance policy it states I have no security devices fitted and my bike is parked overnight on the street. In reality it's garaged, has smart water, a ground anchor and chain, and I'm thinking of fitting an alarm. I'm not going to mention this because it only makes a few quid difference to my insurance and it would give them an excuse not to pay if I ever didn't use all of this stuff.
