lesperkl Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Back again 3 years no problems Headlights not working why would both bulbs not be working ? ------------------------------------------- friday opened back door 6 pm 1 right hand indicator was on not blinking no key in ignition so obviously not switched om - inserted key started first kick indicators functioned as they should as did hazard function and back brake light however headlight not working - no phantom light since - first thought fuse but wouldnt that stop the other lights from working ?? - just put it in kitchen had to fight the wife to get it in so can now work on her - any advice apreciated Quote
Tiggie Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 The electrics are usually full of gremlins with these brands. I helped a friends boyfriend who had an issue with his headlight flickering. Turned out the connector block for the wiring loom by the headlight was melting Quote
Fiddlesticks Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 (edited) Maybe the wires coming from the ignition lock barrel? Only mention it as I've just had mine replaced on the Explorer and while researching it it seemed like a lot of people had had lights failing due to cracked wires under the lock.
