dynax Posted February 19, 2023 Share Posted February 19, 2023 I bought a new reg/rec yesterday, had to cut the plug off the old one to modify the new one to fit the loom, but the wiring was different colours, the old one has 2 reds one with white stripe and a green, the new one has a red, black and green. I joined the red to red, the green to green and the red with white stripe to black in the correct orientation of the original plug, the engine runs and the battery is charging and all the lights work except for the main headlight and the switch for the dip high beam. the headlight should come on when the engine is running but it doesn't, Would swapping the position of the red/red and the red white stripe/black solve the issue and could there be any risk of damage by doing so if it doesn't, Any help appreciated Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
