I am going to take a test in which there is a bus lane that operates outside the test time. I am required to use the bus lane.

The bus lane is some what the same lane as the original lane. It splits into 2 lanes when the bus lane start from a cycle lane.

Do I signal when I drive into the red shaded lane?

As you are effectively changing lanes you should be indicating to those behind you of your intentions. Make sure you shoulder check as well

Yes, like he said.

Indicate left and cross over the dashed lines into the bus lane. A left shoulder check is necessary to be sure something isn't coming up behind you.
