Parani/Cardo Intercom Connection

I use the Cardo Freecom 4plus intercom and a mate uses the Parani a10.  We are trying to pair the systems but when it starts to pair the Parani intercom says that the Cardo has rejected the pairing.  I cannot see any setting on the Cardo app to change to allow the pairing.  Has anyone seen this before and know a workaround?

I couldn't even pair my mate's cardo bold with mine the other day. Just did a phone call instead.

If the freecom has dmc and bluetooth then make sure its set to bluetooth mode

@Stu the Freecom's dont have DMC sadly.
