For example bringing back corporal punishment ? Probably loads, but they would all say " But you'll not belt my kid !" I would vote for corporal punishment for the parents. There is a complete lack of respect throughout swathes of society, the insta tiktok lot probably have the most offender's although as a society there has always been a pool of knobs it's just getting bigger. 2 Quote

Were u a slow learner or pass the blame?.... Being more serious, i think everything is messed up and out of sync with each other. Teaching at its core is still based back in the dark ages and yes it has changed some but alot does need updating but not solely the problem. 0other problem is also that anyone biologically/guardian and mentally can have children when either before or afterwards really wouldn't be suitable if it was means tested. areas of the country are is dire needs for a shake up. Trouble with means testing is it relies on the assumption that wealthy parents are better parents. Which isn't really universally true - crazy how many entitled fucktard children there are about these days. The big issue is that we live in a country that once had a welfare state to be proud of and it worked well, for a time. It helped provide social mobility and lessen the wealth divide. Then over generations funding has been cut, twats who spend their lives in meetings instead of just getting stuff done started complicating hierachies and introducing stupid rules. And we're now in the position where social care can't cope, the school system is doubly hit because they've no money and increasing numbers of mouth breathing ar*ehole children because the social has failed, the short numbered police are wasting time rounding up a bunch of fuckhead teenagers dealing coke and nicking bikes because the children turn into criminal scum. Constant wage erosion, increasing wealth divide, crumbling roads with our kerplunk economy being held up by false promises by the 15th prime minister they've elected. I can't help but feel the solution is not to start means testing parents but sorting out the w**kers in parliament that let it happen. I'm not saying we should start hanging political leaders from lamp posts but if a certain group began to hang these corrupt greedy bast*rds - would it really be the worst thing? Accountability is a wonderful thing. Just saying. Anyway. Teaching really isn't in the dark ages these days - TA's, special needs support, technology utilisation and all the new methods that come with it. The problem is school governance is in the dark ages, the schools are made to reach artificial standards by some chin jiggling etonite cock juggler who has never set foot in a classroom, do that or they lose a chunk of funding or go into special measures. Anyway, what I'm saying is we're all going to die one day so hop on your bike and go get a coffee and a fry up. f**k this 4 Quote
Tinkicker Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 Agreed. Probably be able to count on one hand all the encumbents of all the parties sat on the benches in Westminster that actually deserve and have the correct attributes for the job. If my performance at work was so shambolic, I would fully expect to be shown the door. Unfortunately, in the commons, decide to show one party the door and one equally shambolic is waiting in the wings. 1 Quote
curlylegend Posted October 20, 2023 Posted October 20, 2023 It's very expensive and very difficult to obtain a licence to be allowed to drive a motorcycle. Similar with a car. Much more expensive and difficult to become licenced to drive a HGV. And flying an aero plane ? Indeed ! And nowadays it is virtually impossible to legally own a firearm. But for the price of a couple of gin and tonics and a line of white powder you're perfectly free to create a serial killing monster. No licence required. Early maintenance is courtesy of the State.... 1 Quote
