1081 registered and I know of at least 80 tipping up from RBLR that have not registered.

With good weather I would hazard a guess at close on 1500 on the day.

Hope to see some of you there and put some faces to names. :)

Spot on... 8-) We have organised a few smaller events over the years :D and some peeps are fickle and wait to see what way the wind is blowing etc.

Just seen a report on the news on TV about it...... Wow is all I can say.

Not amused I could not make it and especially as what I had to do for work was cancelled.

Looked very emotional.

EDIT: Didn't see anyone in the crowd I recognised.

what a day is all i can say

Bad start as someone didnt give way to vehicles to their right resulted in me having to drop the bike and it caught the screen on the kerbing resulting in broken screen and a few scrapes .... demist ya fecking windows next time ......

arrived at tamworth services met Willow & Akey watched hundreds of bikes pour in ...

( must have been in excess of 1500 in my opinion )

we started off with the lorry Park

it got to take over the main car Park and then it took over the coach Park

hogs everywhere

the logistics of it must have been a nightmare

got going and a sedate ride off Police closed/halted traffic for us

very surreal looking in mirrors and miles & miles of bikes ...

cars just sat on slip roads or parked up & occupants waved us on

got to the arboretum because of a error by a certain person we got a bit split up ( tmbf/northwood/& holton i think it was ...

parking on grass hmmm thank god i had my puck others scrabbling fior stones/anything/maps

all you could hear for ages were bikes rolling in

its a very open place and the memorial stands on hill

ceremony started with the pipers and a few words said followed by a minutes silence ( & yes very nearly pure silence ) then the last post was plsayed and finally the release of two doves

walked around the memorial looking at the countless names really drove it home to you especially in the years you recognise conflicts from

leaving we all head for Willow's and Akeys for refreshments and food ...

Thanks for that Willow & Akey

We departed from there and now home

Great too meet all the Northwood guys and the others (Halton ?)

sleep beckons
