james09111 Posted November 12, 2023 Share Posted November 12, 2023 Hi, my 2022 nmax 125cc sgcu stopped working and the mechanic said it will take 5 month for a new one to come in and will cost me £500. I found the exact one on eBay for £100 with the same code and numbers. Can I just simply put that on my bike and use my key? I asked around and I was told the cdi unit (which handles the keyless entry) is not coded to the sgcu? Anyone that could help would be appreciated. Keys are coded to immobliser which in turn can be coded to the ecu...if you change that its needs to know thats its partner now so you need a electrical software engineer or well fitted garage (often used to ecu programming). why are you paying for it?? It comes with A yamaha two year warranty, guess the dealer doesn't want to let you have their curt bike for 5 months which isnt your problem!
