Fiddlesticks Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 Was out on a bit of a ride today. Accidentally just brushed the clutch lever and realised the amount of travel required to get it to slip was very little. This, together with a recent comment from a Triumph mechanic, who said the clutch was a bit noisy has got me thinking it might be time to get it looked at. Anyone have any experience of this, what it might involve, and whether it's a garage job or something an enthusiastic amateur might give it a go? Quote
fredc Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 do you still have play in the cable, it may just need adjusted 2 Quote
Stu Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Check the play there should be about 5mm at the end of the lever Apart from that if it's not slipping on hard acceleration I wouldn't worry about it 1 Quote
V650 Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Is it possible the cable is sticking and not releasing all the way I would remove the cable and test / clean & lubricate and reinstall 1 Quote
Fiddlesticks Posted February 4, 2024 Author Posted February 4, 2024 Sounds like I'm probably over thinking it, 5mm is about where it is. I do like those Evotech levers though Quote
Stu Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Do you have span adjusters already? as this will alter the amount of pull you need on the lever Quote
