Rieju MRT 50 Lights not working

Can anyone offer advice on a problem I have.  I was asked to look at a Rieju MRT 50 that would not run, I did a few checks and found the stator was suspect!  Replaced the stator and spark plug and now it runs.  But the lights do not work, before it stopped the owner said the lights changed before the bike died.  I have replaced the bulb and checked connections looking for the obvious.  The brake lights work, indicators work, and horn works but no headlight main beam or dip, no tail light and no number plate light!!  Any thoughts?  As its a two stroke with no battery stator only has four leads so one power output which must be working as horn etc working.

Just been out trying a bit more fault finding and noticed when the brake is applied the number plate light comes on irrespective of key position (with engine running) so what I mean in engine run and also engine run with lights! either position number plate light comes on with brake light.  So when brakes are applied the number plate is getting a feed or the number plate has a permanent feed and is earthing when brake is applied.
