Hi all. Just joined, passed my bike test in 1976, was an obsessed biker for about 5yrs before a break of about 10yrs and then getting back into it renovating a few old bikes and becoming the fair weather biker I still am today. Had the present cbr for 3 years - best all round bike I've ever had. Unfortunately the wife doesn't share my interest in bikes so my idea of investing in a new 660 RS isn't going down too well.

Welcome in.

You might have to resort about how much the RS is going to save in the long run: mpg, insurance. Clearly you have to pick only the figures that make your argument go the right way.

hi and welcome.

to be honest the 660 is certainly more focused than your cbr which as you put it the best all round bike, and a significant amount of cash to splash on it, which is a very quick way on brushing up the other half double quick timeโ€ฆ

some will say Yey jump to it but Iโ€™d be putting a little more thought of what it is your really after, why and what you think this bike does/if or will fill that?

Hi welcome.

My wife is very understanding of my bike spending, I had them long before we ever met. Saying that have you tried sweetening the pot? Try talking about a holiday, she'll soon come round.
