It’s far more motivating than cynicism and is based on good manners. 1 Quote
S-Westerly Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 True but why the hell are the roads in such a dreadful state in the first place? Quote

The old phrase “a stitch in time” has been studiously ignored to save money in the short term. I think they called it austerity. 2 Quote
Phil1 Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 The problem for me is that I suspect if anyone from the joe public had reported this/these issues then it probably wouldn't have received the attention that it did when the councillor looked into it. Obviously if someone had come off, and the councillor had mentioned it, there would be uproar. If it had been reported by the public, it would get brushed under the carpet. Quote

I agree - my local town, Brampton, has raised petitions about the state of the roads - nil effect thus far. A good reason for joining MAG? Quote
