It should be comfy by now

And it is, but sometimes it’s not… and sometimes pushes my jaw a bit too much

I’m quite boring. Years ago I bought a crash helmet that suited me perfectly and although the name has changed multiple times, their sizing and overall style hasn’t. Just little tweaks in style. And I’ve stuck with them so buying new is very simple the same size will always be a perfect fit. I bought a new one just a couple of weeks ag. Same brand same size. Perfect fit.

I’m unsure still, as my shoei is M and I rode for 15+ hours with it on the same day and didn’t hurt really. But sometimes there’s days where I get a bit of a headache…

If you've done 15 pain free hours surely the headache was an anomoly? Sun/headlight glare? Dehydration?

Ive said it many times based on human anatomy- biometric.
Helmets are very specific… and thats with a very moulding padding to adapt around the meat head it has to protect, some one better (more rounded or rectangular/designed for a nugget and not meaning the food)than others but that is only assuming your either a as the japs say a round or square peg head…-Asian humour…

You’d think that but it’s not as rare as you’d think, I’m just confused. It’s a Shoei NXR 2 and sometimes it fits like a glove but 20% of the time it’s just off or something.

maybe I need to try Arai or HJC next.

For me:

shoei M im fine with if a firmer feeling, you could just try the next skull cap up if you know what the whole set up of the helmet is to start with?

hjc M is a looser fit which was ok when super new but after a few weeks/months was too loose and the size down was far too small for me, so maybe that helmet and its type might be worth a look if you experience is that same or different as the others?

Aria chaser x small wasn’t too bad for fit , nice paint on the decal versions but was definitely sooooo noisier, not as nice inside fabrics, poor durability parts like the vents, pods, visor parts infact all the fittings was worst that require never to to looked at never mind touched. Now not to say it’s a shite product but certainly needs addressing if I was to buy a arai (overpriced) again.
