Connected usb powered heated grips to a switch live on my rear brake lever and it is somehow bypassing the heat controller switch , which means it’s red hot in 30seconds and has no way of being turned off unless I turn the bike off. The question I have is … they have never been as hot as they currently are ! And seem to be getting hotter. Have I ballsed something up here. And why would it be bypassing the temperature controller on/off switch? Please help.Honda Forza 125 2022 is the scooter.

So, it sounds like the wire that you have connected to the brake lever live (not a great idea anyhoo) should be the wire that goes to the grip from the controller.

The controller should be connected to a fused wire from the battery via a USB port.

I would definitely use a relay to connect it.

The wire to the controller connected to the relay switch.

The solenoid will be connected to the ignition to make sure it won't go on of the bike is off.

The other side of the relay switch connects directly to the battery through a fuse.

The second connector of the solenoid goes to ground (frame).
