Hi all. Just passed my Mod2 and I’m looking to upgrade from the cb125f.  I quite like the riding position of current as the bike is used for commuting in London zones 3-6.

any recommendations?

Hey @SkinSkinner, firstly, congratulations on your pass.

There's so much choice, it will depend on style of bike, and budget. Also, your age and where you live, because insurance might be hefty.

If you like the CB125 riding position, you might fancy something like the CB500x?? Bear in mind that your current 125 is structurally small, so a bigger bike maybe more comfortable just because of the size, even a sport style. So sit on as many as possible.

40+ north London. Looking for something robust and not too attractive to the common criminal. I got used to the SV650 whilst training and mod1/2 testing, so a similar size maybe? It was also slightly lowered which was nice.

Congratulations, London ehhh, look at how much insurance your prepared to pay and then look at bikes.

Good luck

I was thinking something like an SV650 or an ER6 might do fit what you're looking for. But, as above, check out the insurance quotes before you set your heart on anything. You may find they limit what you can get.
